Abstract
The aim of the research is to increase the students’ speaking skill through the application of Listening Exercise Model. The subjects of this research were 38 students of the first semester of English Educational Study Program in 2010/2011 acdemic year, taking Speaking I.This action research followed Hopkins Model: planning, action, observation and replanning. Observation sheet and interview were utilized to gather the data. The finding of the research is the students’ speaking I scores increase 17.49 from Pretest to Posttest. It is recommended that teachers use this model to teach English Speaking Subject.
